พืชล้มลุกอายุหลายปี ลำต้นเทียมสูง ๒.๕ – ๓.๕ ม. ใบเดี่ยว เรียงเวียนที่ปลายยอด ปลีออกที่ปลายยอด มีใบประดับสีแดงม่วง เครือกล้วยและผลมีสีแดงนํ้าตาล แต่ละเครือมี ๒ – ๓ หวี และแต่ละหวี มี ๖ – ๗ ผล ผลสุกมีเนื้อในสีเหลือง รสหวานอมเปรี้ยวเล็กน้อย มีกลิ่นหอม และไม่มีเมล็ด ออกดอกและติดผลตลอดปี ขยายพันธุ์โดย การแยกหน่อ

Characteristics :

Musa (ABB Group) ‘Thepanom’ is a perennial herb, 2.5 – 3.5 m tall. Leaves simple, spirally arranged at top. Inflorescences in terminal, with dark red bracts. Infructescence with 7 clusters. Fruits are cylindrical berry, each fused into a cluster likes praying hand. The ripe fruits are yellow, yellowishorange inner, sweetly, not fragrant and have not seed. Flowering and fruiting are round year. This plant can be propagated by rhizome division.
